The support is intended in particular to encourage the talented handball players in the ProgroupPerspektivTEAM also to attend regular club training.
Shared values as the basis for a strong partnership
Progroup and TV 1886 Offenbach e.V. share the same philosophy: You are stronger as a collective than you are on your own – a team always wins or loses together. These shared values form the solid foundation for Progroup’s current sponsorship of the youth handball team at TVO. The training is designed to support the most talented young players born between 2001 and 2011.
“We are thrilled that we are now an established part of TVO’s training concept,” said Maximilian Heindl at the signing of the agreement. “Individual training by the club, the motivation and dedication of the young players form an outstanding basis for successful teams. The experience of ‘Together we are strong’ can ultimately also be applied to life at work.”
Heiko Pabst added: “We are proud to have a strong partner like Progroup alongside us. This allows us not only to offer sports training for our up-and-coming players, but also oversee and support them in every aspect of their development.”
Starting in September, the ProgroupPerspektivTEAM will train individually once a week and in addition to the actual team training. For this purpose, not only the experienced and licensed TVO trainers are available, but TVO has also enlisted the support of other renowned coaches such as Lutz Landgraf and Klaus Feldmann.
Good neighbour: Progroup’s strong regional roots
Progroup is firmly rooted in the South Palatinate region. This was where the company’s successful growth story began 29 years ago with the first corrugated sheetfeeder plant in Offenbach a. d. Queich. Part of the company’s philosophy is to be a good neighbour to the people in the region. The family-run company attaches great importance to thinking and acting sustainably and with a long-term view. This is why Progroup specifically supports projects involving the environment as well as supporting children and young people.
Progroup AG, located in Landau in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, is one of the leading manufacturers of containerboard and corrugated board in Europe. Since it was founded in 1991 in Offenbach/Queich, the company has been pursuing a consistent growth strategy which, in addition to technological leadership, is also based on the use of innovative and environmentally friendly production technologies. Progroup operates production sites in six countries in Central Europe. These currently include three paper factories, eleven corrugated sheetfeeder plants, a logistics company and an RDF power station. With 1,455 employees, the company generated sales of around 881 million euros in 2020.
