Progroup Business Models

Progroup’s business models provide the best example of the company's “Power of Cooperation”. As well as the traditional model, Progroup has developed innovative packaging park models which reflect the customer’s structure. Packaging park models I and II represent the closest form of working relationship with the customer.

With the traditional model, great importance is attached to logistics. Progroup supplies corrugated sheetboard to its customers by trucks travelling from different production sites to meet individual demands and deadlines. There is a traditional customer/supplier relationship between both parties.

With the packaging park I model, the customer’s plant is in the immediate vicinity of the corrugated sheetfeeder plant. This means the corrugated sheetboard does not need to be transported by truck, and deliveries can be made to the customer more quickly and in a more eco-friendly way.

With the packaging park II model, Progroup constructs a corrugated sheetfeeder plant at its customer’s site which is integrated into the customer’s workflow. This connected model is noted for having a complex, but highly efficient intralogistics system.

With both packaging park models, the outlay on logistics and organisational effort is reduced to a minimum; deliveries are 100 per cent reliable, and the level of flexibility and response time are unbeatable. The fact that production and IT systems are interconnected considerably increases the level of flexibility and efficiency in the production processes. Progroup thus greatly supports our customers’ growth strategies and boosts their competitiveness.

Another development step is the packaging park II model in which Progroup constructs a corrugated sheetboard plant at its customer's site. This connected model is noted for having a state-of-the-art intralogistics system, as has been delivered for the first time for example in Europe's largest packaging park in Germany's Upper Palatinate region. With both packaging park models, the outlay on logistics and organisational effort is reduced to a minimum; deliveries are 100 per cent reliable, with the level of flexibility and response time being virtually unbeatable.
With the packaging park I model, the production chain was optimised in another crucial way because the customer sets up its facility in the immediate vicinity of the corrugated sheetboard plant. This enhances the level of competitiveness for customers, means for example that there is no need for transportation by truck, and deliveries can be made not only more quickly but also in a more flexible and eco-friendly way.
With the traditional model, the trucks maintain the link. Great importance is attached to traditional logistics. Progroup Board and its customers have their production operations at different locations and the corrugated sheetboard is delivered by road to meet demand and timeframes. The link between the two is a traditional customer/supplier relationship.
