Power of cooperation

The different business models clearly illustrate the consistent and revolutionary way that Progroup thinks about the value chain. Progroup supplies its customers, the independent packaging manufacturers, with exactly the products they require. In exactly the quality and quantity they need. In exactly the time in which they need to be available to the customer.

To achieve this, Progroup deploys the fastest high-tech machines. Innovative technology makes it possible to produce all required grades of corrugated board flexibly. The online networking of all corrugated sheetboard plants enables central management of all data and customer orders. This allows Progroup to combine high-speed production with a variety of products.

The packaging park models represent the closest form of collaboration and are a successful example of the “Power of Cooperation”.

Another development step is the packaging park II modelin which Progroup constructs a corrugated sheetboard plant at its customer’s site. This connected model is noted for having a state-of-the-art intralogistics system, as has been delivered for the first time for example in Europe’s largest packaging park in Germany’s Upper Palatinate region.
With both packaging park models, the outlay on logistics and organisational effort is reduced to a minimum; deliveries are 100 per cent reliable, with the level of flexibility and response time being virtually unbeatable.
With the packaging park I model, the production chain was optimised in another crucial way because the customer sets up its facility in the immediate vicinity of the corrugated sheetboard plant. This enhances the level of competitiveness for customers, means for example that there is no need for transportation by truck, and deliveries can be made not only more quickly but also in a more flexible and eco-friendly way.
With the traditional model, the trucks maintain the link. Great importance is attached to traditional logistics. Progroup Board and its customers have their production operations at different locations and the corrugated sheetboard is delivered by road to meet demand and timeframes. The link between the two is a traditional customer/supplier relationship.
