CORRUGATED BOARD WILL COME FROM EISFELD IN THE FUTURE

The market is continuing to grow. Customers’ expectations in terms of reliable deliveries and quality are rising. This is why Progroup’s eleventh operational sheetboard plant is being constructed in Eisdfeld. Spread over an area of around 87,000 square metres, roughly 140,000 tonnes of corrugated board will be produced every year, and the total level of investment is 50 million euros. Operating in four shifts, the plant will create a total of 52 new high-tech jobs and three apprenticeships. Production is scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2019.
Employees (m/f/o) are urgently wanted to work in production, from forklift truck drivers and machine operators to industrial mechanics and electronic engineers for the plant technology. You can expect to find a highly modern workplace with machines that are very much state of the art. Only employees who have received the very best training can perform at the highest level. This is why we invest a great deal in induction training, which initially takes place directly at the machine manufacturer. This is where specific maintenance tasks are taught – it is not about making repairs to old parts, but about maintaining the machine at the maximum production level over many years. The training then moves on to production in Offenbach an der Queich, where in a tandem model practical experiences of working in production are gained. All transfers and accommodation are of course free of charge.
The highly modern plant operates in shifts; flexibility and a desire to perform are vital attributes for our employees. It is true that we expect a great deal. But we also offer an excellent package in return – from above-average remuneration and further training through to celebrating successes achieved together. At Progroup the hierarchies are very flat and the decision-making paths are short. Here you can expect to find not just a secure, permanent job. Progroup is a family company with a sound strategy for the future. “You have very many opportunities, you just have to seize them,” says Salam Boumariz, personnel officer at Progroup.
The corrugator will be able to operate at a speed of up to 400 m/min. Single-wall and double-wall Next Board® corrugated sheetboard will be produced. The use of a CHP plant (combined heat and power) to produce electricity and heat will ensure that real Green Hightech is used. Progroup’s most modern plant will also impress with a whole series of measures that define a desirable production workplace. An innovative sound insulation system will ensure a very low level of noise pollution. The regular exchange of air and conditioning of the fresh air will create pleasant temperatures in the production hall, with cooling in summer and heating in winter. In the final expansion stage, the production facility in Eisfeld will also have the highest level of automation anywhere in the industry. The corrugator machine will then tell the operator if it requires something by means of wearables that resemble a smartwatch. This will enable the individual workload to be reduced considerably. The innovations are rounded off with an IT-controlled flow of finished goods using electric stacker trucks which do not generate any noise or exhaust fumes. A break room/caféteria as well as modern changing cubicles and showers will add the finishing touch to this attractive workplace.
